Tier 4: Stay at Home

Blaby District and the rest of Leicestershire will move to Tier 4 Covid-19 restrictions from 00:01 on Thursday 31 December 2020

This means that:-

  • People must stay at home except for very limited purposes (eg. for essential travel for work, education or medical appointments)
  • You cannot meet indoors with anyone not in your household or existing support bubble

As part of the government's latest approach to control the spread of coronavirus/COVID-19, a new, three-tier system was introduced on Wednesday 14th October 2020 across England.

While Leicester and Oadby & Wigston have been placed in the High-risk tier, the rest of Leicestershire is currently Medium-risk, which is the lowest level.

The parish council reopened the Critchlow Road play areas and fitness equipment on Friday 24th July for everyone to enjoy.

Reopening the areas meant that new signage has been displayed in all areas which everyone wishing use the equipment MUST comply with. On 16 July 2020, the Secretary of State, Matt Hancock, announced changes to the local 'lockdown' boundary. This affects residents who live in the city of Leicester and the borough of Oadby and Wigston from Saturday 18 July.

Lockdown measures increased in Leicester

Stricter lockdown measures have been announced this evening in Leicester and surrounding areas because of a rise in coronavirus cases in the city.
