The M1 will be closing in both directions from 22:00 hours, Friday 11th May and will remain closed until 15:00 hours, Sunday 13th May.
The closure will be in place whilst a new bridge is lifted over the M1 between J23a and J24.
The alternative diversion will be signed along the A453 from the M1 and A42 (J23a) to the M1 (J24).

PEOPLE are being given more time to comment on plans about how Leicester and Leicestershire could grow in the future.
The draft Strategic Growth Plan has been out for consultation since 11 January. The consultation was due to close at the beginning of April, but the closing date for people to give their views has now been extended to Thursday 10 May 2018.

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to the Temporary road closure of the above location.
The closure is required from either side of the M1 bridge.
The road will be closed from 21.00 hours on 5th March 2018 to 05.00 hours on 6th March 2018
The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order is being enforced to safely allow Highways England carry out works to the M1 Bridge spanning the road.

Following a review of the Countywide grass cutting operation, the maintenance of highway verges within in our Parish now falls under the responsibility of Leicestershire County Council.
The standard of grass cutting and the frequency of cuts will not be affected, in line with their current service level of 6 times per season.
