A land owner has been ordered to pay £4,950.38 and issued a Remedial Order by Leicester Magistrates' Court following non-compliance with a Community Protection Notice.
Peter Thomas of New Bridge Road, Glen Parva was first issued with a Community Protection Warning by Blaby District Council back in May 2016, following complaints of his untidy land off Enderby Road (known as Bulls Hit Farm.)

A four-week consultation is to be launched on Blaby District Council's plans to change its refuse and recycling collections from June 2018, following a substantial reduction in funding.
£740,000 will be lost from June 2018, including £505,000 in recycling credits from Leicestershire County Council. The remaining £235,000 of a five-year, £2 million Central Government grant awarded... Read More »

Officers are appealing for public help after cash was stolen from an ATM in Countesthorpe.
The cash machine was attacked during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday 4 October) and was reported to police at 3.45am.
Extensive damage was caused to the front doors of the Co-op in Main Street and cash was stolen from the machine.

As part of the parish council's meeting on 7th September, Members agreed to fund a sport worker as part of the BB19 service to the young people of Huncote for September 2017.
It is hoped that by providing the additional worker young people will get exposed to a wide selection of sports and activities which they can go on to enjoy with their friends and family again in the future.

The round £1 coin is being replaced for the first time in over thirty years because of its vulnerability to sophisticated counterfeiters.
Approximately one in thirty round £1 coins in circulation is a counterfeit.
The Royal Mint introduced a new, highly secure coin on 28 March 2017 to reduce the costs of counterfeits to businesses and the taxpayer.
