On Tuesday (02 November) Blaby District Council closed Huncote Leisure Centre after the discovery of elevated levels of landfill gas during planned mitigation works.

This week Blaby District Council started work at Huncote Leisure Centre to install landfill gas mitigation. Once completed the gas mitigation will help control the levels of landfill gas on the site.

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.

Residents may experience a slight delay to travel along Croft Hill Road from the bridge over Thurlaston Brook to the entrance to the Huncote Nature Trail. Work is expected to begin on 28 July and could last until 6 August.
These planned works are to repair damaged sections of the raised walkway. More details are available via one.network.

Due to revisions to Government guidance concerning social distancing on July 19th, we are now in a position to remove the booking system for the Recycling and Household Waste Sites on this date.
