Your views on Policing and Community Safety across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland
TIME IS RUNNING OUT!!
There are just a few days left to complete PCC Rupert Matthews' survey on policing and community safety – it will close at midnight on 30th August 2024.
The responses will be used to help develop his Police and Crime Plan 2024-28.

Essential Maintenance Works M69 Southbound - M1 Junction 21 to M69 Junction 1
Please find attached important information relating to some weekend closures for essential maintenance as part of the ongoing improvements on the M69 southbound - M1 junction 21 to M69 junction 1 (A5). These will take place on the following dates:

Footpath closure notice raised in error
We have been advised by Leicestershire County Council that their previous notification of a footpath closure for footpath V68 at Huncote Leisure Centre had been raised in error. Previously they had advised that Footpath V68, Huncote from where it meets Footpath V69 to Footpath V65 will be tempoarirly closed on 04/09/2024 until 24/01/2025.

Notice of works – HTWTEMP/5096 – Commencing 04/09/2024 - Footpath V68, V69, Huncote
We have received notification that Footpath V68, Huncote from where it meets Footpath V69 to Footpath V65 will be tempoarirly closed on 04/09/2024 until 24/01/2025.

It's the general election tomorrow - don't forget to use your vote and make your choice count
Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm - and remember you must take photo ID to be checked before you are given your ballot paper.
Accepted forms of photo ID include:
- Passport
- Driving licence (including provisional license)
- Blue Badge
- Identity card with PASS mark (Proof of Age Standards Scheme)
- Biometric Immigration document
- Defence identity card

Tree over Thurlaston Brook
The tree that has fallen down into Brook House Gardens, over the Thurlaston Brook, has been reported to Aggregate Industries: who run Croft Quarry and own the land where the tree was.
Aggregate Industries are appointing a suitably qualified tree surgeon to come and remove the tree, and this is currently in hand.
